Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 developer Treyarch emphasizes that the issues reported by PC users with the multiplayer beta that's now available on Steam for that platform will be fixed in the final version of the game. It also mentions that this is still an early test build, so problems are bound to appear.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 fans on the PS4 got to enjoy the timed exclusive multiplayer beta last week on their home console and earlier today, the PC and Xbox One versions of the online test phase kicked off. Many different owners of the two platforms were invited to try the game's multiplayer mode out, but issues affected both of them.

Black Ops 3 PC beta issues are normal and will be fixed, Treyarch says

While Xbox One users had problems redeeming the codes to access the beta, PC users encountered some serious performance problems when playing the multiplayer test even on powerful configurations.

According to a post on the official website, the PC team is aware of some of these problems and promises to fix all of them in time for the actual release of the game this November.

According to Treyarch's development crew, the next few months will bring the final optimization and advanced graphics implementation processes. These aren't a part of the PC beta as they still need quite a bit of work.

The studio also mentions that ahead of the game's launch, customized Nvidia and AMD graphics drivers will appear, which should further help improve the game's performance on computers that use video cards from the two hardware makers.

"Final optimizations and final Advanced Graphics features are not included in the PC Beta; however, you can expect that these will be in the final game. We typically spend the last couple of months before launch finalizing graphics features and optimizations on PC. Also, the final optimized drivers from our hardware partners will also come later," the studio explains.

Unfortunately, the studio didn't say if temporary updates to improve the beta's performance will appear on PC until the test phase ends this weekend.
