This is one of the most beautiful cases out there

Building a custom PC case is not something all that unusual, but building one from laser-cut parts in order to have an Imperial AT-AT system is unique.

It’s not always just about the hardware, and there is a big community out there that focuses on case building. This can be a difficult task since most of the components need to be built separately, but the end result is that you get a PC case that’s one of a kind. In this case, it’s PC case that looks like an Imperial AT-AT and the result is glorious.

Sometimes having a powerful PC is more about being able to play games or take advantage of the powerful hardware; sometimes it’s more about the case that is used for that build. If we only take into account the amount of work that’s been put into the build and the components used, we can begin to understand it.

Imperial AT-AT as a PC case is not easy to do

As some of you already know, the Imperial AT-AT looks more or less like a camel, so there is not a lot of space available. It has really long legs, so space for all the components is limited to the body. Even so, the space is small enough only to have to use a mini-ATX motherboard.

The hardware used in the PC system includes a mini-ATX Zotac Z68 Wifi-A, an i7 2600k processor, a Crucial SSD, a dedicated video card (not sure what model), not to mention all the plumbing necessary for water cooling.

The build was inspired by the 2010 HASBRO IMPERIAL AT-AT, but it turns out that it’s no longer made and shipping one is extremely expensive. So why buy anything like this when you can make your own from parts and have it water-cooler as well?
