14 DAY TRIAL // Brandon Davis, the grandson and heir of oil tycoon Marvin Davis, and the guy who famously coined the phrase “Firecrotch” for Lindsay Lohan in 2006, was involved in a very serious, one-car crash in Los Angeles some hours ago.
Davis, also dubbed Greasy Bear by the tabloid media, was alone in his car at the time of the accident. He was arrested for DUI at the hospital and is now in jail.
Brandon Davis totaled his Mercedes Benz
TMZ reports (see the video below) that Davis was driving through one of LA’s canyons when he lost control of the car, hit something and then crashed. The car, a Mercedes Benz sedan, was totaled in the crash, so the damage was massive.
Given the damage to the car, Davis was lucky to be alive. He was taken to the hospital right after the crash, where doctors determined that he had cracked a vertebra, but that was the full extent of his injuries.
While he was receiving medical care, police came in and arrested him for DUI. The same media outlet says that he was taken directly to jail from the hospital.
After the accident, photos of Davis downing several glasses of wine at the popular LA sushi restaurant Matsuhisa emerged online. He had been drinking with former NHL star Mike Comrie, who is Hilary Duff’s ex-husband.
Not the first arrest for Davis
Back in the day, Brandon Davis was one of Paris Hilton’s best friends, which turned him into a fixture on the celebrity circuit and in the tabloid media.
When Paris “broke up” with Lindsay Lohan after a short-lived friendship, Brandon sided with her. Hence the “Firecrotch” term, which he used in reference to Lohan in front of the paparazzi, as he, Paris, Paris’ sister Nicky and other pals were exiting a club. Lindsay would admit years later that this was one of the most hurtful things ever said about her publicly.
However, that’s not all Davis is famous for: he also has an impressive track record of alcohol and substance abuse. In 2011, he was also arrested for battery and cocaine possession, and pleaded guilty to both.
