14 DAY TRIAL // Sprint's prepaid carrier Boost Mobile has just added two affordable LTE-enabled handsets to its portfolio of Android smartphones, LG Tribute 2 and LG Volt 2.
Beginning today, customers can grab the LG Tribute 2 from Boost Mobile for just $100 (plus taxes). The LG Volt 2 is a bit more expensive, as the carrier is offering the smartphone for $150 (plus taxes).
Even though they are priced pretty low, both smartphones offer more than decent specs, including Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.
The cheapest of the two, LG Tribute 2 comes with a 4.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 854 x 480 pixels resolution, which is a slight upgrade over the original model that has a similar size screen but a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.

Hardware-wise, the Tribute 2 is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, which is complemented by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.
The smartphone packs microSD card slot for memory expansion, as well as dual cameras (5-megapixel rear-facing camera and 1.3-megapixel secondary camera in the front).
It also comes with LTE support and a 1,900 mAh battery, which should provide up to 16 hours of talk time, according to Boost Mobile.
Moving on to LG Volt 2, the smartphone comes with a much better 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.
In addition, it packs a better 8-megapixel camera on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and video recording, as well as a 5-megapixel photo snapper in the front.
On the inside, the handset features the same 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 CPU, 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal memory.
Other highlights of the smartphone include LTE support, along with microSD card slot and a decent 2,540 mAh battery.
