Some of the most important handset makers have already announced their Black Friday deals, so it's not surprising that BlackBerry did not want to miss this opportunity to sell more devices.

The Canadian company announced a Black Friday sale that will run through December 1 across all eight countries supported by BlackBerry shops.

If you don't live in one of these countries, then you might have more luck at BlackBerry brick and mortar stores if you have any in your region.

Otherwise, you might need to pay for shipping fees if you plan to take advantage of any of the promotional deals announced by BlackBerry.

Speaking of which, beginning today and through December 1, the Canadian company will offer up to 20% discount on select BlackBerry 10 smartphones.

The PRIV is not among the discounted smartphones

Before going any further, let's clear one thing up. BlackBerry PRIV is not among the phones discounted on Black Friday, not because it doesn't run BlackBerry 10 OS, but because it's a recent addition to the company's portfolio.

However, you will be able to get the BlackBerry Classic, in black or blue, for just $300 (regularly $380). Also, BlackBerry Leap (Shadow Grey and White) is available for just $180 (regularly $200).

Last but not least, three BlackBerry Passport models will be on sale until December 1. The Black and White versions of Passport can be had for $400 (regularly $500) while the Passport Silver Edition costs $500 (regularly $550).

If you live in the United States and plan to purchase any of the smartphones mentioned earlier, you should check which bands they support because BlackBerry usually doesn't sell handsets compatible with Verizon, Sprint and US Cellular.

In fact, none of the smartphones on sale at BlackBerry Shop will work with the three CDMA carriers mentioned above.
