The publisher apologizes for the botched release of the game

In an unexpected turn of events, Warner Bros has just announced that it has suspended all Batman: Arkham Knight PC sales.

The publisher has just released an official statement on its blog, which confirms the information. Warner Bros' decision comes just two days after the PC version of the game was launched.

Even though both Rocksteady and Warner Bros promised players that have already purchase the game they are already working on a new patch, it looks like the issues are worse than either company has expected.

“We want to apologize to those of you who are experiencing performance issues with Batman: Arkham Knight on PC.

“We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards,” says Warner Bros in a letter to players.

This looks like an unprecedented move, but it's definitely the recommended one because Batman: Arkham Knight for PC shouldn't have been released on June 23 with all those issues affecting it.

On top of that, Warner Bros modified the hardware requirements of the game several hours ahead of the official release, which did not bode well for those who have already ordered the game based on a certain hardware configuration.

Warner Bros suggests customers get refunds if they aren't satisfied with the game

Now, those who are disappointed by how Warner Bros treated the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight can ask for refunds if they purchased the game through Steam.

Another major retailer, Green Man Gaming offer refunds to those who got Batman: Arkham Knight through its retail channels, but only after developers deliver the first patch.

We have attached the full contents of the letter that Warner Bros published on its official blog. Let's hope the game will be fixed sooner rather than later.
