Batman: Arkham Knight developer Rocksteady Studios recommends that PC users who are encountering different performance issues with the game to turn off most if not all of the graphics effects in order to ensure a stable experience, at least until new updates are released.

Batman: Arkham Knight launched worldwide yesterday, June 23, across the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms. While the game was eagerly awaited by millions of fans, many on the PC platform were disappointed to see that their version of the title had all sorts of issues.

From straight-up crashes to framerate problems and all sorts of other situations, Batman: Arkham Knight is a pain to play on the PC.

After seeing the huge backlash against the title yesterday, Rocksteady Studios has mentioned that it's working with the studio that did the porting for the PC to remedy these problems.

Rocksteady recommends turning off most effects

Now, on the official Steam page, Rocksteady posts a new message recommending that PC users turn off most graphics effects, particularly the Nvidia GameWorks ones, in order to obtain a more stable experience.

Until updates and patches are available to rectify the serious performance problems encountered by Arkham Knight on the PC, the studio warns against using interactive smoke, fog, or paper debris, while also turning off enhanced rain and light shafts.

What's more, those who are still having problems should lower their resolution and see how things work with the new settings.

Last but not least, PC users who've modified the game's files to remove the 30fps framerate cap are advised to leave it alone, at least for now, as taking it to 60fps also presents new issues and problems.

Both Nvidia and AMD have released new driver versions for their graphics cards and Rocksteady advises all PC users to install them and see if the performance of Batman: Arkham Knight improves, or at least stabilizes.
