One of the best car racing games for mobile devices, Gameloft's Asphalt 8: Airborne, has just received a major update on Windows Phone platform.

Addicts will be pleased to know that the latest version of the title comes with new content in the form of no less than six cars, as well as some special events and rewards.

The update released by Gameloft this week has already been launched on Android and iOS platforms, but it looks like Windows Phone gamers have been skipped from the initial rollout.

But let's move on to the actual changes and take a look at what's new in this update. First of all, there are six new cars available in Asphalt 8: Airborne, which players will be able to unlock as they progress into the game.

The Lamborghini Huracan, Bentley EXP10 Speed 6, Kepler Motion and three other super sports cars will be progressively released in the game.

More than 100 Car Mastery Events added

According to Gameloft, Asphalt 8: Airborne gamers will be able to test-drive the Lamborghini Huracan and complete each stage of upgrades to make this amazing sports car theirs.

Furthermore, developers have announced that the update introduces new car mastery events and rewards. It looks like there are more than 100 brand new Car Master events added in this update, so players can now take them on to earn exclusive Cars & Decals.

Also, the new Car Collection feature will allow Asphalt 8: Airborne players to stock their garage with complete car sets to unlock awesome prizes.

Last but not least, Gameloft has confirmed that the latest update also addresses some minor bugs, but not additional details have been provided yet.

If you don't have the game yet, you can now download Asphalt 8: Airborne for Windows Phone for free via Windows Store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8.1 and up.
