Mark your calendars, because Apple has just informed the press about the launch date of its next iPhone devices, the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. The unveiling of these smartphones, and most probably many other goodies, will take place on September 9, 2015.

There were rumors a few days ago that Apple would announce new iPhones on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, but now the event has been officially confirmed by the Cupertino company, which has sent invitations to members of the press earlier today. As usual, the event will be streamed live.

On September 9, we should witness the unveiling of a new pair of iPhone devices, but some say that Apple will also update its iPhone 5c line of devices to iPhone 6c, and of course, we could witness more details, including the official release dates for the upcoming iOS 9 and Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan operating systems.

As expected, Apple has revealed no information about the technologies and devices that will be unveiled on the September 9 event, which will begin at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time (PT) or 05:00 p.m. GMT and will be held at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, USA.

iPhone 6s will incorporate Force Touch

According to many rumors, the new iPhone 6s devices might incorporate Apple's new Force Touch technology directly into the smartphone's display, which could be used for all sorts of shortcuts on iOS. The Force Touch technology is already present in Apple's latest MacBook computers.

The attached photo has been received by several members of the press, and it's entitled "Hey Siri, give us a hint." We, here at Softpedia, will be covering Apple's event at the said time and date with a live blog article, highlighting the most important moments of the launch of the new iPhone devices.
