If you like the iPad Pro but want something that’s a little bit more portable, then wait no more because Apple has just unveiled a 9.7-inch version that comes with all the great features of the device launched last September.

Called iPad Pro but coming with a smaller display, the new 9.7-inch device weighs just one pound and “is the best upgrade for all iPad owners,” as Phil Schiller has said on stage. It comes in four metal finishes, including rose gold, the super awesome version available on the iPhone.

The new iPad Pro sports a Retina display that’s 40 percent less reflective and 25 percent brighter than the iPad Air 2, with Schiller praising colors and saturation. It runs iOS 9.3, so it supports Night Shift, which makes reading text in the evening quite easy.

The same camera as on the iPhone 6s

The tablet features four speakers and comes with the A9X processor, just like its bigger brother, and obviously, it supports the Smart Keyboard, but in a custom size. The Apple Pencil is also offered because, as Schiller has noted, this is “the greatest accessory Apple ever made.”

There are some new accessories too for this iPad, including new Lightning adapters for an SD card reader and a USB card reader.

Schiller has said Apple focused a lot on the new cameras because “people take a lot of photos with their iPads,” so the device comes with a 12-megapixel camera with true tone flash, live photos support, and every single feature that’s available on the iPhone. It’s exactly the same camera as on the iPhone 6s.

The iPad Pro with a 9.7-inch display will go on sale on March 24 as part of a pre-order program, just like the iPhone SE, and will cost $599 for 32 GB and $749 for 128 GB. The company has also introduced a 256 GB version for $899. Shipments will begin on March 31.
