14 DAY TRIAL // You can’t mess with Tim Cook, that’s for sure. Not when it comes to the iPhone, at least. Cook has recently decided not only to take down his blurry photo that started an Internet craze but also to block Twitter users who made fun of him.
Here’s the story so far.
Just after the Super Bowl, Tim Cook wanted to be part of the online celebration, so he posted a photo on Twitter to celebrate the Broncos. The only problem was that his picture was super blurry, so many people who got to see his post actually made fun of the Apple CEO, with some even claiming that he used a potato to take the picture.
Surprisingly, Tim Cook wasn’t really bothered by these mean comments at first, but nearly 24 hours after that, he decided to take down the photo. And not just that.
As it turns out today, some of the users who actually poked fun at the CEO have actually been blocked, so they can no longer view his posts and profile.
Shot with an iPhone?
While such a behavior would make every 5-year-old pretty envious, everyone’s wondering whether the photo that Tim Cook posted online was actually shot with an iPhone. And if it was, maybe Tim Cook used the upcoming 4-inch model or even the iPhone 7 for it. This is very unlikely, but Twitter users online used the uncertainty to continue the jokes aimed at Cook.
Of course, Tim Cook’s involvement in this saga might not be as big as expected, as a PR department could be in charge of his Twitter account. The original photo, however, was undoubtedly posted by Tim Cook himself, but what happened next could very well be the result of the bright minds of a PR team. Now everyone’s waiting to see the official iPhone 7 camera samples.
