This could be the first clear video of the new model

Apple is currently working on a smaller iPhone that could see daylight sometime in the first half of the year (most likely in March), and while the company has remained tight-lipped on this project, we’ve just gotten the closest look at its design that we could ever dream of.

MicGadget has posted a video of what seems to be the 4-inch iPhone model coming this year, but as you can see for yourselves by clicking the play button below, some parts of the device that could help identify the model are covered with duct tape.

At first glance, the device looks just like the iPhone 6s, but it is supposed to be smaller. However, since we can’t actually see its dimensions in this video, it’s hard to say whether it’s the 4-inch model or not. Especially because the rear branding is covered in tape, that is.

The video comes from an employee working at a Foxconn factory in China, the aforementioned source claims.

Rumored specs

The 4-inch iPhone could come with an LCD screen and boast the same design as its bigger brothers. It also features a Touch ID home button, plus the typical Lightning connector.

It’s important to note that the 3.5mm audio jack is still there, which means that if Apple is indeed planning to give up on this, the iPhone 7 is likely to be the model making the switch.

People close to the matter claimed the 4-inch iPhone could come with an A8 processor and 1 GB of RAM while also featuring an 8-megapixel camera and NFC to boost adoption of Apple Pay. There were reports claiming the device could be made of metal, but as you can see, it appears to be manufactured from the exact same materials as the bigger brothers.

Keep in mind that there’s no evidence that this video isn’t fake, so don’t take it for granted until the official unveiling takes place.
