All of Halo 5's different modes, from the multiplayer to the story campaign, will run at a 60fps framerate, but 343 Industries confirms that it's not yet nailed down the final resolution of the upcoming shooter. However, it also emphasizes that the controversial Xbox One eSRAM hasn't given it any problems.

Halo 5: Guardians is the next entry in the shooter series and developer 343 Industries is pulling out all the stops to ensure that this all-new iteration delights all Xbox One owners around the world.

After impressing fans at E3 2015 with some fresh footage from the story campaign as well as the all-new Warzone multiplayer experience, 343 Industries now talks a bit more about the technical aspects of the new game.

Halo 5 runs at 60fps but 1080p resolution is unclear

While talking with GamingBolt, 343's Lead Producer Chris Lee confirms that all of the game's modes, both the story campaign and the different multiplayer experiences, run at a 60fps framerate.

Unfortunately, in regards to the final resolution, Lee mentions that it hasn't been nailed down, although the team is, as always, aiming for a full HD 1080p output.

"So, we’re still optimizing the game as we haven’t launched so we haven’t locked in our final resolution yet. But we will talk more about that in the future," he explains.

Xbox One eSRAM isn't causing any problems

Lee also took the chance to shoot down any rumors about the controversial Xbox One eSRAM feature. He confirms that 343 Industries hasn't had any problems using the 32MB of responsive memory, even if quite a few developers have complained about the awkward system and how it ended up preventing their titles from reaching 1080p or 60fps on the Xbox One.

Halo 5: Guardians launches on October 27, worldwide, exclusively for the Xbox One. You can be sure that the final resolution and performance figures will be revealed until then.
