Microsoft's Age of Empires: Castle Siege games has just received a huge update that brings major changes to the Crown system.

The update also contains some bug fixes and improvements to Alliance system, but also some new gameplay features that should enhance the game's overall appeal.

But let's start with the new Crown system, which has been adjusted to generate an amount of 2 crowns from 5. Also, developers have added maximum Crown cap to prevent players from losing excessive amounts of Crowns in a single battle.

According to developers, they have changed the way they compare attacker and defender crowns to be more accurate across a greater spectrum of crown totals.

Basically, in the latest version of the game, attacking opponents close to your own Crown count now awards more Crowns than before. Also, attacking opponents with much fewer Crowns than you will award fewer Crowns.

Alliance Chat fixes have been implemented too

Age of Empires players will be pleased to know that they will be able to collect daily gold all at once each day, whereas until now the gold was collected multiple times a day. And new players should know that Tutorial has been improved.

As mentioned earlier, many bug fixes have been addressed too, such as the “Unable to transfer your gold. Reload your Empire” error. Developers also fixed a bug where Charles Martel's Taunt ability sometimes did not affect Cavalry type units.

Furthermore, Longbowmen and Archers will no longer attack a wall/gate when commanded to attack buildings on the other side of the wall/gate.

The update also fixes a bug where Cathedrals at level 6 would not give stone when damaged/destroyed. Some general improvements to usability, stability, crashes and connection errors have been implemented too.

You can now download Age of Empires: Castle Siege for Windows Phone for free via Windows Store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8.1 and up.
