Micromax, one of the most prolific smartphone makers in India, has just announced the immediate availability of another affordable handset, the Canvas Blaze 4G.

The new smartphone has been especially designed to offer 4G LTE support to those who need it, but can't afford to pay a lot to get it.

According to a new report, the Canvas Blaze 4G is now available for purchase for Rs 6,999 ($105 / €95) outright. Customers can only get its black color option via Indiatimes Shopping, but other retailers may start selling it as well in the coming days.

As the title says, Micromax's affordable smartphone is 4G-enabled, so anyone that needs faster data transfers or Internet browsing should take this one into consideration.

Apart from the fact that it offers both dual-SIM and 4G LTE support, Micromax Canvas Blaze 4G comes preloaded with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.

In addition, the smartphone is preloaded with various apps and services such as Amazon Shopping, Chaatz, Clean Master, Newshunt, Skype, Hotstar, Quickr, App Center and many more.

Unimpressive, but decent list of specs

When it comes to hardware, the Canvas Blaze 4G won't impress anyone, but it's decent enough for the price you pay.

For example, the smartphone is equipped with a 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, an Adreno 304 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

Although there are only 8GB of storage inside the Canvas Blaze 4G, Micromax added microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

On the back, the affordable handset packs a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while in the front there's a modest 2-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Last but not least, Micromax Canvas Blaze 4G is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery and offers a plethora of connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with AGPS support and microUSB 2.0.
