The first smartphone with Windows 10 Mobile onboard was announced back in early September at IFA 2015 trade fair. Acer's Jade Prime promises high-end features to those who want to try the new version of Windows Phone.

However, the company has yet to confirm exactly when the Jade Primo will go on sale, which is quite understandable since Microsoft itself was a bit vague when it announced that Windows 10 Mobile would be released in December.

The good news is that those who won't be getting either of the two Windows 10 Mobile handsets announced by Microsoft, Lumia 950 or Lumia 950 XL, are in for a treat if they decide to go for Acer's Jade Primo.

According to the company, the Jade Primo will ship with a Continuum dock, full keyboard and mouse, in the sales package. All these accessories will be available for free, so you won't need to pay separately for them.

A worthy competitor for Microsoft's Lumia 950

Considering Microsoft's Continuum dock is available for purchase for $100 / €100, we would say this is quite a good deal for Acer customers.

And in case you were wondering how Jade Primo and the Continuum dock perform when connected to a PC, Acer has got you covered.

During its Windows 10 Devices event, Acer demoed Continuum for phones on Jade Primo, so those who had second thoughts on getting this device should now rest easy because everything seems to be working smoothly.

For those out of the loop, here is a quick rundown of the Jade Primo's features. First of all, the smartphone packs a large 5.5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

In addition, Jade Primo is equipped with a 64-bit 1.8GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, an Adreno 418 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.

Also, the smartphone has been confirmed to feature a 21-megapixel rear-facing camera, an 8-megapixel camera in the front and USB Type-C port.
