14 DAY TRIAL // Opera Software, through Kornelia Mielczarczyk, has announced the third update to the Opera 35.0 web browser, which is now in the developer channel for all supported operating systems, including GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows.
We reported a couple of weeks ago that Opera Software decided to promote the Opera 35.0 web browser to the developer channel and promised to implement numerous attractive features.
Among these, we can mention a simpler setting section that gathers together all the common settings into an easily accessible, single page, download manager improvements, Opera Sync enhancements, and addressbar on-click UI suggestions.
Based on the latest Chromium 48.0.2560.0 open-source web browser, the Opera developer 35.0.2060.0 update thus arrives today with addressbar search hints for new users, and the long-awaited and warmly received single-page, unified settings.
"As we are slowly progressing towards the last feature freeze for this year, here’s what we have with this update," said Kornelia Mielczarczyk, Product Tester at Opera Software.
"Mute me baby" has been disabled by default
In not so good news, the "Mute me baby" feature that lets users mute tabs that make noise has been disabled by default, and instead the Opera developers implemented a right-click context menu option.
An old-school search box has been implemented in the Windows version of Opera 35.0 and can be enabled via the browser's user interface advanced settings. Additionally, users can now change the color of the window titlebar on Windows 10 Threshold 2.
