Microsoft unveiled the Nokia 230 and 230 Dual SIM feature-phones back in November and said they would be available for purchase in some countries in the coming months.

One of the first countries to get one of the two feature-phones is India. According to a new report coming from NDTV, Nokia 230 Dual SIM is now available for purchase in India for just Rs 3,689 outright, which is about $60 or €55.

The single-SIM version of the handset might be released in India soon, too, but as of now there are no details on its availability or pricing.

The dual-SIM version can be purchased via Microsoft's official website, but other major retailers across the country might pick it up as well.

According to Microsoft, Nokia 230 Dual SIM is a “premium quality Internet-enabled feature phone,” which is why the device has been priced slightly higher than we have hoped for.

Sandblasted aluminum battery cover

Design-wise, Nokia 230 Dual SIM does look like a premium handset thanks to the aluminum back cover. Specs-wise, there's nothing impressive about the phone, but considering the low price Nokia fans might want to give it a try.

The handset comes with Opera Mini browser, Bing Search and Opera Store by default. The phone runs Nokia Series 30+ UI and supports two micro-SIM cards.

Nokia 230 Dual SIM sports a small 2.8-inch QVGA display that supports 230 x 320 pixels resolution. It packs only 16MB of internal memory but comes with microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

At the back, the phone features a modest 2-megapixel camera with LED flash and video recording while in the front there's a similar 2-megapixel camera for selfies.

Microsoft's dual-SIM handset offers both GPRS and EDGE connectivity options, along with Bluetooth 3.0, microUSB 1.1 and FM Radio.

It's also worth mentioning Nokia 230 Dual SIM is powered by a 1,200 mAh battery that should provide up to 22 days of standby time or up to 23 hours of talk time.
