Earlier today, the very first photos showing the upcoming Lumia 950 XL have reached the web, providing us with an early look at Microsoft's new flagship device, and fortunately, a new leak now reveals the 5.7-inch display of the phone projected to launch in just a couple of months.

The Lumia 950 XL is expected to come with a 5.7-inch display, which places it in the phablet category, while the regular 950 model will feature a 5.2-inch screen.

The photos you can see here, which also leaked from China, reveal the Lumia 950 XL, but once again, the device comes with the protective cover that is supposedly used by Microsoft to hide the actual design of the phone.

The version on the left is a slightly edited version of the original photo to remove the cover, so you can see the Lumia 950 XL in all its glory. The small bezel is pretty much the most striking feature, as Microsoft has reportedly paid particular attention to this thing for the new device.

Early specs

While it's a little bit too early to discuss about phone specifications, rumors swirling around the web claim that the Lumia 950 XL would come with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage space, while microSD card support will let you expand it to up to 128 GB.

A 20-megapixel camera will also be offered on the back, while a 5-megapixel unit will be available for selfies. A 3300 mAh removable battery will be there to get you through the day, while USB Type-C will be Microsoft's big innovation alongside the iris scanner for Windows Hello.

Keep in mind that these specs are still unofficial, so take them with a pinch of salt until we hear something official from Microsoft. The device is expected to launch in September or October, so it shouldn't take too long until we get some specs from Microsoft itself.
