Motorola has teased the upcoming release of Moto X Style in the last couple of days. The US-based handset maker has a partnership with Flipkart for the distribution of its most popular Android smartphones, which apparently will extend over the Moto X Style as well.

Although there were rumors claiming Motorola could launch its future Android smartphones through multiple retailers across the country, it looks like the Flipkart deal is too good to be dropped yet.

Flipkart has just released a teaser that suggests Moto X Style will be launched in India on October 8. It's unclear whether or not the smartphone will be available for purchase on the same date, but it's almost certain this one will be a Flipkart exclusive.

There are no details on pricing options yet, but we expect Motorola Moto X Style to sell in India for around Rs 30,000 outright, which is about $460 or €410.

Motorola has already planned an upgrade to Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Moving on to specs, the Moto X Style is known as Moto X Pure Edition in the United States and comes preloaded with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.

We also know the Moto X Style will be among the first Motorola smartphones to receive an Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade, though an exact release date has yet to be confirmed.

Hardware-wise, the smartphone is powered by a 1.8GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, an Adreno 418 graphics processing unit, and 3GB of RAM.

The Moto X Style is available in three versions, based on amount of storage: 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. Motorola India has yet to confirm how many of these variants will be launched this week.

Furthermore, the smartphone boasts a large 5.7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

It also packs a 21-megapixel rear-facing camera with phase detection autofocus, dual-LED flash, and 4K video recording, as well as a secondary 5-megapixel camera on the front with LED flash.

Motorola Moto X Style is powered by a non-removable 3,000mAh battery and features IP52 certification (water-repellent nano-coating).
