The smartphone costs $400 for the cheapest version

Motorola has just announced the Moto X Pure Edition (2015) will be available for pre-order in the United States beginning September 2.

The smartphone is internationally known as Moto X Style and will be available in three variants based on storage amount: 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

The cheapest model, Moto X Pure Edition (2015) 16GB will be available for pre-order in the United States for only $400 outright.

The smartphone will work on all US carriers networks, including Sprint and Verizon. Here is the list of network bands supported by Motorola's mid-range Android smartphone:

UMTS GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); UMTS/HSPA+ (800, 850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100 MHz); 4G LTE (B1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 20, 25, 28, 40, 41); CDMA (800, 850, 1900 MHz).

It comes with 4G LTE support and microSD card slot

The smartphone will ship with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box. The Moto X Pure Edition (2015) is IP52 certified, which makes it water repellant but not water resistant.

Motorola announced its mid-range Android smartphone will be equipped with a 1.8GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, an Adreno 418 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.

As mentioned earlier, the US version of Moto X Style comes with either 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

Also, Moto X Pure Edition (2015) sports a large 5.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

On the back, the smartphone packs a 21-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, dual-LED flash and 4K video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel camera with LED flash.

Motorola Moto X Pure Edition (2015) is powered by a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery and fully supports Moto Maker customization program.
