The development team at NetherRealms Studios is announcing that it is working on a huge patch for Mortal Kombat X which is designed to introduce a new level of balance for the fighting game and to eliminate plenty of issues the community has been reporting.

A full list is offered on the official forums of the game, and the studio is aiming to change the way a wide range of the included characters work, with tweaks to their abilities.

Mortal Kombat X is also getting more general fixes, with the developers aiming to make sure that players cannot execute more attacks in some situations than they should be able to.

NetherRealms is saying that the update for the fighting game will be launched on all platforms in the coming days, although it is not mentioning clear dates because certification with Sony and Microsoft takes an ambiguous interval of time.

Mortal Kombat X is a hit with the fan community, and it's great to see that the developers are continuing to tweak the balance and to address issues that might seem minor at first sight.

Warner Bros. recently announced that it was canceling the versions of the experience that were supposed to be launched on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 because of quality issues.

Mortal Kombat X is getting a big announcement soon

Ed Boon, the leader of the development team working on the game, says on his official Twitter account that a big reveal linked to the title will be made soon.

The accompanying image shows the Moon and the community are saying that a new character will be announced, with Smoke the most common guess, while others believe that alternate versions for more fighters will be introduced.

There are also fans who believe that Mortal Kombat X is getting an entirely new mode or stage in order to give gamers more variety.

Netherrealms has not announced it if plans to continue to offer new content for the game in 2016 or if it is planning to announce that it was working on a new fighting game, maybe a sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us.
