Mojang announced not long ago that its trading card game Scrolls would be abandoned probably because of the low number of players.

This means that Microsoft's company will have even more people focusing on Minecraft, one of the most popular games of all time.

A few days after Mojang confirmed that it would drop support for Scrolls next year, the game developer announced Minecraft for Windows 10, which will be launched on July 29.

The new version of the game will bring lots of new features and improvements, but not all of them will be available for Minecraft: Pocket Edition.

Still, mobile gamers will be able to enjoy some of the enhancements Mojang plans to introduce in Minecraft for Windows 10 as well, though the company has yet to confirm when the next update will be released.

The good news is that Mojang shared some details about some of the new features that will be implemented in the next update for Minecraft: Pocket Edition.

Hunger and XP bars should be part of the next update too

Speaking to IGN at Minecon 2015, Mojang officials confirmed that the upcoming version of Minecraft: Pocket Edition would offer controller support.

This is not the first time we hear about controller support for the Pocket Edition version of Minecraft, as the information had been confirmed back in May.

However, the new feature did not make it in the latest update for Minecraft: Pocket Edition, so expect it to be included in the next one, which should be released later this month or in early August.

Apart from controller support, the next update should also bring Hunger and XP bars, anvils, as well as the option to move the UI around.

Furthermore, Mojang also confirmed the update would add ocelots, dynamic weather, The Nether, cobblestone, redstone, along with sprinting and crouching.

And let's not forget that, once Minecraft for Windows 10 is live, desktop players will be able to play together with mobile gamers.
