14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has just announced they have released a brand-new beta version of Lumia Creative Studio application for Windows Phone devices.
The main new feature implemented in this beta version is the ability to edit Living Images, which was missing from the previous iterations.
While this is the key new feature in this release, Microsoft advises Windows Phone users to test Lumia Creative Studio because there are other improvements included in the new beta version.
Even though developers did not list the new additions included in this release apart from the one we mentioned earlier, they did confirm all the known issues that still need to be addressed.
So those who really want to test Lumia Creative Studio beta should check out the known issues developers announced for this release.
Lots of known issues still need to be fixed
First of all, it's worth mentioning that following edit operations are either not supported for Living Images or contain some limitations for them: Clarity (under Enhance category), Blur, and Blur background.
Also, an image saved with Lumia Creative Studio is now shown in Creative Studio's landing page until the application has been restarted.
There's more, as developers mention that if Creative Studio was launched from Photos, Lumia Storyteller or Lumia Camera's camera roll, image saved with Creative Studio is now shown in the application in question until it has been restarted.
Last but not least, keep in mind that changed aspect ratio is not shown correctly if edited Living Image is re-opened with Creative Studio.
Although Microsoft also provided a download link that goes with the official changelog and the list of known issues, it looks like that link is broken for the moment.
We will update the new with the correct link once developers list the application in Windows Phone Store again, so stay tuned.
