We're less than two months away from the reveal of the first Microsoft flagship smartphones powered by Windows 10 Mobile. Codenamed Cityman and Talkman, the devices are expected to be officially unveiled in October and they are likely to go on sale a few weeks after that.

We already know quite a lot of info about these two smartphones that will probably be launched on the market as Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.

For example, rumor has it that Lumia 950 will be equipped with a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, while the Lumia 950 XL is said to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 CPU.

The latter could be an issue for Microsoft's Lumia 950 XL since Qualcomm's chipset has been proved to have quite a lot of overheating problems.

Even though Qualcomm claims these issues have been solved in the second version of the chipset that's already included in some Android smartphones, it remains to be seen how it will perform on the Windows 10 Mobile handsets.

Quick Charge technology should become standard soon

Today, a new rumor about the upcoming Lumia flagships has popped up online, which claims they will support Qualcomm's Quick Charge technology.

The information comes directly from China and confirms both smartphones will feature Quick Charge 2.0 since they are powered by Qualcomm chipsets which support this technology.

With Quick Charge 2.0, both Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL's batteries will charge much faster than normal, but they will also need special chargers for that to work.

Keep in mind though that Quick Charge will only be enabled when your phone's battery is nearly at 0, so it will not work if it's already 50% or more charged.

Most quick charging technologies are capable of charging a battery from 0 to 50-60% in about 30 minutes and Qualcomm's technology is no exception.
