14 DAY TRIAL // Micromax is back with yet another selfie-centric smartphone that is already available for purchase in India. The new Canvas Selfie Lens is the sequel to the Canvas Selfie handset, but this one comes with slightly improved specs.
But first things first, so let's see how much the new Canvas Selfie Lens costs. Well, according to a new report, Micromax Canvas Selfie Lens is now available in India in Champagne and Moondust Gray for just Rs 8,299 outright, which is about $130 or €115.
Customers that decide to go for Micromax's Canvas Selfie Lens should know that they will also get 500MB 3G data free for 2 months at Vodafone.
As the name suggests, Micromax Canvas Selfie Lens focuses on the front-facing camera for great selfies. The good news is the smartphone comes packed with a Clip on 0.4x lens in front camera, which should be capable of shooting wide angle selfies.
Apart from that, the Canvas Selfies Lens' specs are pretty average, which is why the price is so low in the first place.
Micromax will ship this selfie smartphone with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box. On the inside, the handset is equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.
Another selling point of the Canvas Selfie Lens would be the 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.
The camera UI comes with a wide range of filters and presets
When it comes to photo capabilities, Micromax's new smartphone packs an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus, Sony sensor, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.
In the front, the smartphone has a 5-megapixel camera with OmniVision sensor and Largan lens, which makes it perfect for selfies.
Other highlights of the Micromax Canvas Selfie Lens include 2,800 mAh battery, dual-SIM support, 3G connectivity, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS with AGPS.
