Micromax has just announced the immediate availability of yet another affordable Android smartphone, the Canvas Fire 4G. While it doesn't come with anything out of the ordinary, the price might appeal to some Android fans looking for an entry-level handset.

According to a new report, the Canvas Fire 4G is now available in India for just Rs 6,999 ($105 / €95) outright. Customers will be able to pick this one up at all major retailers across the country.

It's also worth mentioning that those who buy the Canvas Fire 4G at Airtel will also receive introductory double data 4G offer for 6 months.

Moving on to specs, the Canvas Fire 4G might look a bit overpriced considering its hardware, but that's for each customer to decide.

Some may find it too low on specs for the price paid

The smartphone is equipped with a 64-bit 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6753M processor inside, a Mali-T720 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

In addition, Micromax's affordable handset packs 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

The good news is Canvas Fire 4G comes preloaded with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.

On the back, there's a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 2-megapixel photo snapper for video calls and selfies.

Micromax Canvas Fire 4G sports a modest 4.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution.

As the name suggests, it offers 4G LTE, but also dual-SIM support. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with AGPS, microUSB 2.0 and FM Radio.

Last but not least, the Canvas Fire 4G is powered by a 1,850 mAh battery that has yet to be rated by the manufacturer, and features dual front-facing speakers.
