14 DAY TRIAL // Manjaro 15.12 (Capella) has just received its tenth update, and it looks like the support cycle for this version of the distro is coming to an end.
Manjaro is a Linux distribution based on Arch Linux, but it follows a slightly different release model. Developers upgrade the OS regularly, but they first test the changes they make, and only then do they release a new pack.
For Manjaro 15.12 (Capella), it's the tenth update, and if we take a look at the previous versions, we'll see that they usually have about 12 update packs before they move on to the next one. This is not a rule, and it's always a possibility that we'll have to wait a little bit longer.
Only updated packages
Most update packs for Manjaro come up with new features, new packages, and so on, but this latest one seems to be here only for maintenance purposes and to bring the latest Linux kernels into the fold.

With this we update blender, calibre, cinelerra, espeak and guvcview and have patched kernel 4.1.18 to properly fix last week’s cryptsetup issue. As usual, the regular Arch Linux upstream fixes have been integrated. The currently supported Linux kernels are: 3.10.98, 3.12.55, 3.13.11.35, 3.14.62, 3.16.7.24, 3.18.27, 3.19.8.15, 4.1.18, 4.2.8.4, 4.3.6 EOL, 4.4.3, and 4.5 RC6.
If you already have the system installed and you perform regular updates, then you don't really have to do anything extra. You can download Manjaro 15.12 (Capella) right now from Softpedia and upgrade your system through the regular channels. If you download the distribution, make sure that you apply all these updates so that you can get the full experience.
