Those who hope to be able to get their hands on a ZTE high-end smartphone will be pleased to know that the company's upcoming Nubia Z9 Max and Nubia Z9 mini have just leaked ahead of their official unveiling.

The Chinese company has already confirmed a launch event for March 26 where we believe the ZTE Nubia Z9 Max will be unveiled.

Italian blog HDBlog reports ZTE Nubia Z8 Max might be announced along with the Nubia Z9 mini, another high-end Android smartphone.

Unfortunately, these good-looking phones will only be available in China soon after announcement and there's no telling whether or not ZTE will bring them to other countries in the coming months.

Moving on to specs, the ZTE Nubia Z9 Max will be equipped with a powerful 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, an Adreno 430 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.

The smartphone will sport a 5.5-inch display that might support either full HD (1080p) or QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

On the inside, the phone will pack 16GB of internal memory, while on the back there will be a 16-megapixel camera with LED flash, autofocus and video recording. ZTE Nubia Z9 Max also features an impressive 8-megapixel camera in the front and it's powered by a 2900 mAh battery.

The mini version packs a smaller display and a different Qualcomm chipset

Next in line, ZTE Nubia Z9 mini will be powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

It will come with the same camera configuration: 16-megapixel photo snapper in the back and 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

ZTE Nubia Z9 mini will sport a 5-inch HD (720p) capacitive touchscreen display and it will be powered by a similar 2900 mAh battery.

No word on pricing options and availability, but we should find out more by the end of the day, as ZTE's launch event is scheduled for today.
