Xiaomi Mi 4’s camera is not performing well

Xiaomi is one of the fastest-growing smartphone manufacturers we have seen in the last few years. That’s why it has gained the “Apple of China” nickname in Asia, where the phone maker is currently selling its products.

But while a lot of folks appreciate Xiaomi’s efforts, the company’s handsets are still far from being completely flawless.

For example, it seems that a lot of Mi 4 owners in India are experiencing some problems when taking flash-enabled indoor photographs.

It appears the results are marred by yellow tint. You can see for yourselves what the problem is in the sample images we've attached in the gallery below.

Are you experiencing the same problem with your Xiaomi Mi 4?

For comparison’s sake, we've added a picture taken with the Xiaomi Redmi Note, so you can clearly see how big the difference between the two actually is.

Users who have been experiencing these problems say that they purchased the smartphone from online retailer Flipkart.

It’s quite unclear if Xiaomi itself has been contacted and made aware of the issues, but people posting on the forums seem to be quite disappointed with the device manufacturer.

Hopefully, once complainants notify Xiaomi of the problem, the phone maker will take matters into its own hands and roll out a software update to fix the issue.

In related news, if you haven’t purchased your phone from Flipkart, it’s a pretty good time to be a Mi 4 owner.

A few days ago, it was announced that Xiaomi and Microsoft embarked into some sort of partnership that would bring Windows 10 on board the Mi 4 smartphone.

Although later on Xiaomi’s VP Hugo Barra came back to rectify the information in an official statement saying that his company had not signed any partnership with Microsoft.

Barra explains that Microsoft is running (and leading) an experimental program with the Mi fan community in China. Speaking of which, Windows 10 for Xiaomi Mi 4 ROM pack will be offered for download from the MIUI forums, so you’d better keep an eye out for that.
