Unclear when all users will get access to it

It seems that those happy Xbox One users who are part of the official Preview Program for the home console now have access to a new feature that allows them to capture gameplay footage at 60 frames per second.

The information comes from the Reddit section for the Microsoft platform and includes both images and videos that show the new feature.

At the moment, the general Xbox One population can only get video of their gameplay running at 30 FPS.

Microsoft has not made an official announcement about the new feature, and that might mean that it will continue to test it for some time before all users get access to it.

The company has not yet revealed all the changes that will be made with the May firmware update for the Xbox One.

The improved FPS rate for gameplay capture is a good way of making sure that the community will share more videos taken from the titles they own.

Microsoft will also use it to show off the power of the Xbox One and the constant upgrades that it is delivering for the platform.

Xbox One is also set to get DVR capabilities later in the year

Another major new feature that Microsoft might announce soon is a service that will add full DVR capabilities to the home console.

It might be added once the Windows 10 operating system is launched in the fall.

Gamers will be able to use a new Media Center to not only watch television on their Xbox One but to also record programs and watch them at a later date.

At the moment, the PlayStation 4 does not have an equivalent feature, and Sony has not announced plans to add something like this to its device.

Microsoft is aiming to use new features for the Xbox One, introduced via firmware updates, to make the platform more attractive for potential customers.

The company needs to find a way to make up some ground and reach the PlayStation 4, after price cuts and special offers have not managed to make much of an impact in the first few months of 2015.
