Black Friday is getting nearer, and after some teasing, the Microsoft team working on the Xbox One is ready to announce that it will offer gamers some discounted bundles featuring the platform next week, while also allowing them to pick a number of video games for a lower than usual price.

The biggest star is a package which includes an Xbox One, the recently introduced Assassin’s Creed Unity and another free game for the price of 329 dollars (235 Euro), or for 439 dollars (314 Euro) for those who also want to get an included Kinect motion tracking system.

Gamers can also get a holiday bundle for the Xbox 360, featuring a 500 GB hard drive, for under 200 dollars (143 Euro), and there’s also a version of the older device which includes Peggle 2 for an even lower price.

Gamers can also pick up cheaper versions of the Xbox Live Gold subscription, and a range of other offers that are linked to other Microsoft products are listed on the official site of the Black Friday promotion.

The list of Xbox One titles which are offered with a discount is pretty long and the highlights include: Call of Duty – Ghosts, Watch Dogs, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon 2, Kinect Sports Rivals, Ryse, Dead Rising 3, Wolfenstein, Diablo 3, Shadow of Mordor, and more.

Those who have a Xbox 360 can also pick up a range of titles for the older device.

Microsoft is on a charm and sales offensive

At the moment, Microsoft is trying to make its hardware and its exclusive titles as attractive as it can in order to bridge the sales gap that the PlayStation 4 from Sony has managed to open up since last year’s launch.

The company is allowing any interested customer to pick up a new Xbox One, without Kinect, for the price of 349 dollars (225 Euro) until the start of next year.

At the same time, all those who have purchased one of the devices during their launch year will qualify for a special gift, which will be drawn from a wide pool of free video games and extra content.

Microsoft is saying that sales for its Xbox One have increased a lot in November, but Sony is still leading overall at the moment and the company might deploy its own set of special deals for Black Friday to make the platform more attractive.
