The team at Microsoft in charge of the Xbox One seems interested in hiring at least one developer in order to contribute to a coming improvement in the graphics department for the home console, which might be deployed before the end of the year.

The official job listing at the company explains that the Advanced Technology Group will try to deliver assistance to developers who are looking to make sure their titles offer a solid experience on the new device.

It adds, "We are seeking a Software Engineer with technical expertise in graphics performance optimization, GPU architectures, and HLSL shaders.   Game development experience is strongly preferred. You can be a key part of making Microsoft gaming platforms - including Xbox One, Xbox 360 and others - a success."

More details on the requirements for the Microsoft position and the responsibilities associated with it are offered on the Microsoft site.

The company is not saying exactly when it might introduce a major upgrade for the graphical side of the Xbox One, the move might be made at the same time that Windows 10 is launched.

Rumors have said that a re-design of the OS for the Xbox One will free more resources that can be used by video games launched for it.

The Xbox One is rumored to get DVR and other new features in the fall

Microsoft is adding new capabilities to its most recent home console each month via the deployment of new firmware.

Rumors are saying that a big set of new features will arrive later in the year, which will include a new DVR feature that allows for TV shows to be recorded and then played back on demand.

Video capture will also be enhanced to 60 frames per second.

Rumors are also talking about an entirely new application environment for the Xbox One, which would allow companies to launch apps without having to go through the strict certification that Microsoft now employs.

Other changes for the home console will be added in order to better integrate it with PCs and mobile devices which run the Windows operating system.

For the month of April, the Xbox One has managed to outsell the rival PlayStation 4 from Sony on the United States market.
