Microsoft has not made an official announcement about it

It seems that the team at Microsoft in charge of the Xbox One is getting ready to announce a new version of the home console, which will include a 1 TB hard drive and might be offered to all interested gamers as soon as June 23 of this year.

The information comes from an official listing on a Spanish retailer site, which was quickly deleted but not before VG247 managed to get access to an image showing the new offer.

Microsoft has not commented on the new version of the Xbox One, but the company will presumably make an official announcement either later in May or during the E3 2015 event, at its own press conference.

There's no info on whether the only new element of the coming hardware is the larger hard drive or there are plans to introduce other smaller tweaks to the components that could improve overall performance.

It seems that the Xbox One with 1 TB hard drive will be sold for 449.99 Euro (about 510 dollars), which is about 50 Euro (60 dollars) more than the model with a 500 GB hard drive.

It's unclear whether the offer will be available only in Europe or if North American stores will also get access to it.

At the moment, gamers can only pick up a version with 1 TB hard drive of the Xbox One if they get the bundle focused around Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, the shooter from developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision.

The Xbox One is looking for ways to increase its sales

Microsoft has previously tried to cut the price of its new home console and to introduce a range of very good bundles, but it has not managed to generate more sales and to close the gap opened up by the rival PlayStation 4 from Sony.

The launch of a new Xbox One version with a larger hard drive might also be a sign that some other rumors about the future of the console are true.

Reports are saying that a DVR feature for the platform will be introduced later in the year, presumably when the Windows 10 operating system from Microsoft is also delivered.

More improvements to the features offered by the Xbox One are coming via a May firmware update.
