Wargaming announces that a new update is now available for download for World of Tanks players, which is bringing new content like a new map and a tank.

However, for some reason, the update is exclusively available for Xbox 360 players, none of the other platforms get this update, which is focused on the war in the Pacific.

Moreover, not all Xbox 360 owners will be getting this free update. In order to be able to download it, you will need an Xbox Live Gold membership, which you will need to purchase separately.

As mentioned earlier, the update contains an exclusive console-only map called “Pacific Island,” as well as the famous Japanese Chi-Nu Kui tank, which is not available for purchase in the in-game store.

Additionally, Wargaming announces that all Xbox Live account holders can take advantage of a 7-day trial for World Of Tanks, which is available for free.

Here is a short description of the new location included in the update: “the first tropical-inspired map for tankers on console is a beguiling mix of beauty and danger, set against the calm blue waters of the ocean. Here, commanders will discover a range opportunities for strategic chaos lurking in the undergrowth.”

The legendary Japanese Chi-Nu Kai medium tank rolls out to Tier 5. Although this is typically a defense tank, players will be able to take it on the offense as well. Having one of the largest canons in the Japanese tank arsenal makes this tank perfect for attacks as well.

It’s also worth mentioning that the new Japanese tank comes bundled with its own Garage Slot, a fully trained Crew and Premium time, and it’s only available in the Store for a limited time (from January 29 to Sunday February 8).
