In what can only be described as one of the most peculiar acts of bravery ever, a woman in Australia stuck her finger up a dog's behind to save her own pooch. Even weirder, this little stunt worked, and the attacker let go of its victim.

Media reports say that the incident happened in Australia not too long ago. Thus, the woman, identified as Ann Bendouli, says that she was simply walking her Jack Russell, named Lexie, on Hampton beach when a Staffordshire Terrier attacked it.

At first, the woman, together with the Terrier's owners, attempted to break up the fight the old fashioned way. In a nutshell, they tried to simply pull the two dogs apart. However, the attacker refused to give up, Anorak informs.

Eventually, Ann Bendouli realized that, unless she did something drastic, there was no way that her dog would have survived. Hence, she simply lifted the Staffordshire Terrier's tail, and shoved one of her fingers up its bottom. The dog almost immediately let go.

Admittedly, the Jack Russell suffered some pretty impressive injuries, but at least it got out of this experience alive. As far as Ann Bendouli is concerned, word has it that she simply washed her hands and went back to her life as usual.
