As compared to other apps that are available in the Windows Phone store, WhatsApp is one of those that are actually getting updates on a regular basis, so there's no doubt that it shouldn't take too long to see voice calling options arrive on Microsoft's mobile platform as well.

Some carriers have decided to ban voice calling through WhatsApp completely because it would significantly reduce the number of phone calls that are actually made over the mobile network.
