Both the Icon and Lumia 1520 are now running Denim

Microsoft promised to complete the Denim rollout by the end of February, and the company is really keen on keeping its promise no matter if this includes bringing the new firmware update faster to low- or high-end devices.

As a result, Windows Phone flagships in the United States are also getting the Denim treatment these days, which could be another sign that Microsoft is very close to completing the release of the firmware update.

According to Microsoft's very own software update page, Lumia Icon is already running Denim at Verizon, while Lumia 1520 has recently gotten the update at AT&T.

This is pretty good news for Windows Phone fans in the United States, but this doesn't mean that all devices powered by Microsoft's mobile platform are running the latest firmware available.

Cyan and Amber still on several models

While flagships have already received Denim, low-end models such as Lumia 520 and Lumia 530 are still on Cyan, despite the fact that these two models are pretty much the best-selling devices in the whole Windows Phone range.

Lumia 635, 920, and 925 are also on Denim, while a number of devices are still running Amber, including Lumia 810 at T-Mobile.

In Canada, on the other hand, none of the Windows Phone models available there has received Denim, so all devices are still powered by Cyan.

The Denim rollout started in December with only a small batch of devices, but flagships started receiving the update across the world in early February. Right now, Microsoft is updating the remaining models across the world, but it's very unlikely to deliver Denim to all Windows Phone devices by the end of the month, as it promised.

If you're not sure which software version you are currently running, just go over to Settings > Extras + Info to check it out. More firmware information is available in Settings > About > more information.
