Here are some of the issues already found in Windows 10

Windows 10 for phones preview is already available for a number of testers and Microsoft employees, but the official rollout for everyone hasn't yet started, as the company is still conducting internal testing to make sure that it won't ship the release with major bugs.

And yet, some bugs have already been discovered in the existing builds, and the word is that Microsoft is now working to fix them all before the preview becomes available for everyone.

Battery life seems to be one of the most critical problems in Windows 10 for phones preview, WindowsCentral writes, as battery drains extremely fast even when doing very simple things that shouldn’t affect the device too much, such as sending text messages or talking on the phone.

This is obviously a really important issue because it could significantly affect the experience with the new mobile operating system and prevent insiders from testing it effectively.

No Glance screen and buggy Quiet Hours

At the same time, it appears that Microsoft is still working to make animations smoother on Windows 10 for phones, as the transition from one screen to another in the current builds still needs more refinements. The same happened on the PC as well, so Microsoft is expected to deal with this problem really fast.

Devices that come with Glance screen won't be able to use it after upgrading to Windows 10, as this particular feature doesn't seem to work in the existing builds, which practically means that you would be left with no notification system for your device.

And last but not least, it appears that, if you use Quiet Hours, you might not wake up in the morning, as there's a bug that automatically turns off the alarm for no clear reason. Microsoft is working to fix this too before the public preview is compiled.

Windows 10 for phones preview is expected to launch this week, according to some suggestions offered by Microsoft itself, so make sure that you back up your device to get the early build as soon as it gets the green light.
