Will Ferrell is a huge fan of basketball, so people tend not to get starstruck when they see him sitting courtside with fellow celebrities, enjoying a game. The other night, Will went out of his way to cause an impression, as he hit the Pelicans – Lakers game to shoot a scene for one of his upcoming movies.

You can see the major disruption he caused in the video below, which seems to hint that not everyone in the audience was in the know about what was going on.

Ferrell will be seen next in “Daddy’s Home,” a comedy that also stars Mark Wahlberg, and whose synopsis goes something like this: “When a divorced guy’s ex-wife re-marries someone way more uptight, he re-enters her life and wreaks havoc.” That should explain why he’s yelling in the microphone, warning some guy that he had slept with his – their! – wife.

Ferrell’s character appears drunk and unable to shoot for the basket as he was asked to. Then, just as he’s about to be escorted off the field, he takes one of the spare balls and tries to put it in, but hits one of the cheerleaders in the head instead. To say that she goes down spectacularly would probably be an understatement – this has to be seen.

In February 2013, the actor popped up at another game, this time disguised as one of the security guards and escorted the legendary Shaquille O’Neal out, in what was a stunt meant to promote “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.”
