Even her biggest detractors have to admit that Jennifer Lawrence is natural on screen and she has a lot of acting talent. But few knew that Jennifer started out her acting career very young, at age 14, and she was already landing lead roles even back then.
A video of her first ever public performance, in which she plays the role of Desdemona in a theater production of William Shakespeare's Othello, has emerged online. Feisty and blond, Jennifer can be heard going quickly through the lines of her monologue despite the fact they are in an old dialect.
It doesn't take long before she boldly breaks out into an acapella song. The report cuts to a shot of her drama teacher who praises her spirit by saying, “She definitely stood out as someone who wanted to do this. She was precocious and she was energetic. She had the courage to sing. She was determined and unflappable.”
Today, after seeing her in many movies, we couldn't agree more.
