EA Sports might be devoting most of its resources to the long-term maintenance of FIFA 15, but the company is also continuing to show off how real-world players are enjoying the virtual football experience, and the most recent video lets us know how the Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton plays out in the sim.

Everton is represented by their talismanic player Leighton Baines, backed by Robles, Ledson, Browning.

Meanwhile, Liverpool's team is made up of Fabio Borini, Flanagan, and Ward.

There are three matches of FIFA 15 between the two sides, and Everton manages to easily take the first one, which once again features the virtual representation of Real Madrid and Barcelona, while Liverpool manages to take the second.

The decisive match is played using the two teams actually involved in the Merseyside derby, and Liverpool players manage to win it 3 to 2, after a number of red cards deplete the Everton team and significantly reduce its defensive options.

Once more, EA Sports only offers snippets of gameplay, even though fans of both teams and the game would have probably loved to see the three matches in full in order to get an idea of how real-world players manage to handle the mechanics of FIFA 15.

A Holiday Edition can bring cheer to a gamer's life

Those who have not yet picked up a copy of FIFA 15 can take advantage of the Christmas period in order to use a digital store on the PC, the Xbox One, and the PlayStation 4 to get the Holiday Edition version of FIFA 15.

Players will be able to use in-game currency as they see fit and they also get access to more celebrations for the moments after they score and some other exclusive items.

At the same time, Lionel Messi is available for all those who start a campaign in the Ultimate Team mode as a loaned player that can boost their lineup for a five-match period.

EA Sports also says that, before Christmas, it will run some special FIFA 15 events and will deliver exclusive content for fans.

The game has recently received a third major title update, which deals with some bugs and also changes defensive behavior and tweaks how crosses work.

FIFA 15 has also recently upgraded security for the web app linked to Ultimate Team, which can now be accessed only by using login verification.
