Tecmo Koei released a couple of new gameplay videos from the upcoming fighting game Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, expected out this February.

The series has always been famous for female jiggly bits and skimpy outfits, but it also has a very robust battle system with satisfying mechanics that go well beyond what can be perceived as a crude way to attract players.

Developer Team Ninja released the original Dead or Alive 5 in 2012, for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 home consoles, and it managed to capture a pretty large audience.

The enhanced edition will come with a lot of new stuff, mainly fighters, including Ninja Gaiden star Ryu Hayabusa, and Raidou, the boss from the first Dead or Alive, making a comeback as a cyborg.

Virtua Fighter fans can also unlock three guest fighters that make some appearances during Story Mode, in the form of Sarah Bryant, Pai Chan and Akira Yuki.

Last Round will also ship with some free DLC costumes, and if you're interested in that sort of thing, you can find a full listing on the Team Ninja website.

Will Last Round truly be the last edition?

The free downloadable costumes are most likely offered as a justification for the game's price tag for those who already own Dead or Alive 5 and Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate.

Getting another full price game for a couple of new fighters, an extra stage and a gameplay rebalance seems like hardly a good deal, and as DLC for the game seems to be quite pricey, most fans will probably find good value in Last Round.

The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game will also benefit from a new tech that Team Ninja uses to make skin look softer.

The videos show a bit of the rough gameplay that players have come to expect from the series, as well as showcasing the snazzy visuals. The second video shows a competitive match between two highly skilled gamers, from the Northeast Coast Championship 15 tournament from last month.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round is coming to the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC platforms on February 17 in North America and February 20 in Europe.
