The black circles are actually the shadows of vortexes that are created when dragging a plate through water

I don't know about you, but I for one have to admit that, after watching the video below, I cannot wait for another bright, sunshiny day spent relaxing next to a pool.

Mind you, it's not because I'm a big fan of heat and sunbathing or anything of the sorts. It's because I'm dying to reproduce the positively mindblowing experiment detailed in this footage.

Here's what the experiment boils down to: dragging a plate through water, waiting for two black circles to form at the bottom the pool and then watching them travel together all the way to the other side.

Fair warning, you need to make sure that the water is completely still and that there's plenty of sunlight available should you ever decide to give this experiment a try.

As detailed in the video, the two black circles don't appear at the bottom of the pool because of magic. On the contrary, they are basically the shadows of two vortexes that form when the plate is dragged through the water.

Because these two vortexes are connected to one another, they travel all the way to the other side of the pool together. In turn, the black circles that they birth stick together as well.

The video showing this experiment made it online just a few days ago, yet it has already scored tens of thousands of views. In fact, it's well on its way to becoming a viral sensation.
