Developer DICE is preparing to launch the massive Battlefield 4 update that everyone has been waiting for, meant to deliver the experience that the community has been seeking to enjoy since the game was launched, almost a year ago.

The patch is going to take all the changes that have been undergoing rigorous testing on the Battlefield 4 Community Testing Environment on PC for months now, and deliver them to the entire ecosystem on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.

The CTE feature was introduced back in May, in order for developer DICE to get valuable feedback directly from the community, in the wake of the controversy regarding the military first-person shooter's launch, which was a tad rocky, to be mild.

Fortunately for those refreshing the BF4 page and wondering what the update will bring, a Battlefield 4 veteran created a video outlining and discussing the upcoming changes, and from what he says, the update is going to drastically change the multiplayer gameplay dynamic.

One of the changes will be the removal of the visual part of recoil, which is nothing but an animation meant to enhance your experience, but that actually ends up hampering your attempts to control bursts by showing you a representation that does not accurately convey the actual in-game recoil.

In case you're wondering how exactly that works, check out the second video, from YouTube user Battle(non)sense, explaining the impact of the feature and the upcoming change.
