Slitherine Games is ready to deliver a launch trailer for its upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon, a strategy title which will allow gamers to take control of forces from the Imperium of Man as they battle against an invading host of Orks.

There’s no gameplay footage included, but the developers make very good use of voice work to give gamers a few hints about how the Imperial Guard tends to deal with the enemies it encounters.

The team at Slitherine says that Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon is designed to offer a hex-based, turn-based experience that spawns no less than 30 scenarios, each with its unique layout and set of objectives.

Gamers will be able to explore both the tough terrain of the planet and its huge hive cities, adapting their tactics to the situation and to the forces that they have available.

During the campaign, the Imperial Guard will be helped in his struggle by a number of Space Marines chapters: the Salamanders, the Blood Angels, and the Ultramarines.

Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon is shaping up to be an interesting experience and will probably appeal to a lot of fans of the universe who have not had many video games based on it to enjoy lately and are dismayed by the fact that Relic is not officially announcing a new Dawn of War title.
