Latest update for the browser has some interesting changes

Vivaldi, a new web browser based on Chromium, built by an Opera founder and his team, has just received an upgrade and 32-bit versions for the application, among other things.

One of the most important requests of the community regarding Vivaldi was a 32-bit version of the application. It looks like there are a lot of users out there with 32-bit processors that would love to give Vivaldi a try, but they couldn't do that in the absence of a special build. Now that build has been made available, along with a host of fixes and various improvements.

This is a stable app, which makes things very easy, but in fact it's still pretty much a technical preview. That means that it's not even an Alpha release. This is built for testing purposes only, but it has most of the functions you would expect to find.

Latest Vivaldi update is a big one

Starting to build a new browser from scratch (well, not really from scratch, it uses Chromium) usually means that there is only one way to go, up. All you have to do is add features and fixes. Vivaldi can only get better and there are quite a few functions that haven't been enabled yet, like the email client.

"Last week, we worked on the first iteration of bookmark bar among many other fixes listed below. The bookmark bar is still very much work in progress, but please take it for a spin. It works little differently from Chrome, as user can decide what folder to set as bookmark bar. You can place it at the bottom if you like to. We now offer 32 bit Linux version as many people asked for it! Let us know how it works," noted the devs.

Other improvements included a bunch of new languages and a ton of various small fixes and refinements.

As usual, you can download Vivaldi for Linux from Softpedia. Only RPM and DEB files are provided. Also, the Windows and Mac OS X versions are also available.
