Uncharted 4: A Thief's End has just received a huge amount of leaked details thanks to readers of the latest issue of GameInformer magazine, which runs a major cover story on the upcoming PS4 exclusive made by Naughty Dog.

Uncharted 4 is the franchise's first iteration that's set to arrive on the PS4, and the hype surrounding the game is already reaching great heights, especially since Naughty Dog had an impressive gameplay demonstration at the PlayStation Experience last month.

GameInformer has a complex cover story on the new game

After that pretty stellar showcase, the game has just received a complex cover story on Uncharted 4: A Thief's End from GameInformer, according to the official website of the magazine.

While the online reveal only included a few scarce details, like the fact that Uncharted 4 takes place three years after Uncharted 3, readers of the magazine have posted a huge amount of details concerning the new PS4 title on NeoGAF.

The story introduces Drake's brother, Sam

First up, the game does take place three years after Uncharted 3 and begins with protagonist Nathan Drake living a happy life with his love interest from the previous titles, Elena. However, Sam, his long-lost brother, returns to Drake's life with the promise of a new treasure. Seeing as how Drake thought that Sam was dead and his life now depends on finding the new artifact, he goes back to his old treasure hunting ways.

The story sees Nathan and Sam travel the world, and one environment is a mythical Madagascar colony called Libertalia, but expect other locations that feature both snow and urban aspects.

This time around, the villains are two rival hunters called Rafe and Nadine. Rafe is the total opposite of Drake in terms of behavior and morals, while Nadine owns a private military company in South Africa, so you can expect to fight a lot of her goons while in the game.

Other characters, such as Elena or Sully, might also make a comeback, but the focus is really on Sam, who will shed some light on what it's like to have such a successful and skilled younger brother that constantly outshines him.

While Naughty Dog doesn't say if this is the last adventure for Drake, the studio emphasizes that there will be plenty of humor in the game, not to mention many emotional scenes concerning the two brothers and their adventures.
