The main keypad is divided into tilting halves

High-end keyboards always have some sort of key shape or arrangement that attempts to make the peripheral's use more comfortable, and safe in the long run. Some even have bodies that can be split apart. The Adesso Tru-Form does something mid-way between the two.

It's plain enough just from a look really: the keys of the peripheral are divided into four main sections, so as to allow your hands to go about their task naturally.

That is to mean that the keys are shaped and oriented along the same axes that your hands and wrists should rest at, for the most natural and healthy feel.

Not such a big deal for people whose hands hover in the air while they're typing, but good for those that allow them to rest on their desk, keyboard palm rest, etc.

The keyboard has more going for it than an ergonomic design and key placement. The palm rest, for example, is pretty massive, though can't be detached.

Also, the keys are all backlit, and you don't have to settle for the same color all around either. The left, center, center right and right-most keypads can be colored individually (though it seems the last two have to share the same color).

Either way, the backlight will make sure that you always see what you're pressing, even late at night, when the sun is gone and the moon is hidden behind a cloud.

You can even switch between green, blue and red with a touch of a single key. Kind of like those little mice that have a little button behind the scroll wheel to change their inner color. It also bears noting that the keys have bright letters twice the size of normal ones.

What the keyboard doesn't have are mechanical switches. A normal rubber membrane (albeit a pretty quiet one) is used instead. On the bright side, you do get instant access Internet and multimedia keys (20 built-in hotkeys to be precise).

The bottom line

The Adesso Tru-Form 150 keyboard isn't a gaming peripheral, even if it vaguely looks like one. Unless you don't hold mechanical switches as being an essential part of gaming  keyboards. Not that you can't use even normal keyboard for games, but the newcomer is, in the end, intended more for long hours of work at home, as well as web browsing and multimedia enjoyment in a pleasant environment.

Sadly, Adesso did not share the price and availability of the newcomer in its press release.
