Video game developer The Creative Assembly is announcing that it will be launching not two pieces of new content for Total War: Attila today but three, with a newly announced Blood & Burning pack added to the original line-up of Celts Culture Pack and Tin Isle Mercenaries.

A new video is also available, designed to show off the changes that the most recent DLC will make to the strategy game, most of them focused on making the entire experience more gory than before.

The Campaign Map of Total War: Attila now has more violent animations, soldiers will vomit if their brethren are being killed while they watch, soldiers and civilians in battle have new animations for death by fire, and the event messages also have some added blood spatter.

The Blood & Burning pack for the video game will cost players 2.49 dollars or Euro and all the extra violence can be turned on and off from the Options menu.

New factions and more mercenaries are also coming to Total War: Attila

It has become a tradition for The Creative Assembly to add more violence to its titles via a downloadable content pack, but the most interesting additions to the game are the Celtic Culture Pack and the Tin Isle Mercenaries.

The first of them will introduce three new factions, which can be played in all game modes and have a unique set of units, as well as their own characteristics and skills for generals and other characters.

The new mercs are centered on Britannia and give all players a chance to get access to fighters who can use the new guerrilla deployment, designed to allow gamers to deploy units that can assault an enemy with the element of surprise on their side.

The Tin Isle Mercenaries content is free for all players and Total War: Attila is also getting a full update to go with it.

The developers are changing unit balance and abilities to improve the overall strategy experience and the Artificial Intelligence should also present a more capable challenge on both the strategic and the tactical level.

The Creative Assembly says that it has clear plans to deliver more DLC for Total War: Attila, which will arrive when free updates are also introduced for the title.
